I'm sorry, but I had to do it!

 So, if some of you are still on your healthy eating resolution, I'm sorry to do this to you, but sometimes you just need chocolate! This is a bar one of the Crocus & Ivy Girls brought to work (we went wild for it), made it at home and my family have been asking for it ever since. This recipe is a go to recipe - an upgraded chocolate chip cookie that is easy to make and delicious;)

 

Chocolate Chip Cheesecake bar

 

Combine in bowl
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. b. soda
1/2 tsp. salt

 

In large bowl, mix together
2/3 c. butter
2/3 c. b. sugar
1/2 c. sugar

 

add
1 egg
2 tsp. vanilla

Add dry ingredients to wet and mix well

Add in 2 c. chocolate chips

 

Cheesecake layer

Mix together until blended
1 pkg (8 oz) cream cheese
1/2 c. sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
1 egg

 

In a 8x8 baking dish, grease, then line with parchment paper, then grease again.

 

Layer 1/2 the cookie mixture into the dish,
Spread all the cream cheese over the 1st layer
Layer the rest of the cookie dough over the cream cheese layer.

 

Bake at 350 for about 45 minutes.
